Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Weed It Out handles information when you use the app and related website pages.

Effective Date: February 8, 2026 Intended for users 21+

1) Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the Weed It Out mobile application (“the App”) and any related website pages we provide. By using the App, you acknowledge this policy.

2) Eligibility (21+)

The App is intended for individuals who are 21 years of age or older. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 21.

3) Information we handle

  • On-device logs (stored on your device): entries you choose to log (for example: sessions, urges, timestamps, optional notes, and preferences/settings). These logs are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers as part of normal app operation.
  • Contact info (email, if you sign in or contact support): if you use email sign-in, your email address is used to authenticate your account. If you contact support by email, we also receive the email address and message you send.
  • Identifiers (user ID): the App uses a user identifier (a Firebase user ID/UID) to support account access and security. We do not require a “real name.”
  • Purchases and paywall display: Apple processes payments. We use RevenueCat to receive subscription/entitlement status (for example, whether access is active) to unlock features and support restoration. We use Superwall to display the paywall. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Tracking: We do not track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising.

No automatic analytics/crash reporting: We do not run automatic crash reporting or analytics that identifies you by default.

Support diagnostics you choose to share: If you email support about a crash or issue, we may receive diagnostic details you provide (for example, device model, iOS version, and screenshots/logs). Because these support messages come from your email address (and may be associated with your account), this information may be linked to you.

We aim to handle only what is reasonably necessary to operate the App and support users.

4) How we use information

  • Provide core features (logging, progress views, streaks, insights).
  • Maintain account access and security.
  • Enable subscriptions and purchase restoration.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse/fraud.

5) Metrics and estimates

Any metrics, calculations, projections, or insights shown in the App (including usage-related estimates, time saved, money saved, or “clarity” scoring) are provided for informational purposes only and may not be perfectly accurate.

6) Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

  • Service providers: We use service providers such as Firebase Authentication for sign-in, RevenueCat for subscription status/entitlements, and Superwall for paywall display. These providers may process information only to provide services to us and under obligations to protect it.
  • Apple / App Store: Apple manages payments and may provide purchase verification signals.
  • Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

7) International use and legal compliance

The App may be accessed from locations with different laws. You are responsible for using the App in compliance with applicable local laws. We do not represent that the App is appropriate or available for use in every jurisdiction.

8) Data retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the App, maintain security, provide support, and comply with legal obligations.

  • On-device logs: your logs are stored on your device.
  • Email and user ID: may be retained for account integrity, security, and support.
  • Purchases: subscription/entitlement status may be retained as needed to provide and restore premium access.

Account deletion: If you delete your account from within the App (see “Your choices” below), your Firebase Authentication account is removed. Account deletion does not cancel an active App Store subscription. Manage/cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

  • The App includes an option in Settings to delete your account. When you use it, your account is removed from Firebase Authentication (which may include your email used for sign-in and your Firebase UID). After deletion, you may lose access to account-linked features.

What this deletes: your Firebase Authentication account (email and UID).
What this does not delete: it does not automatically delete data stored by Apple (such as App Store transaction records), and it may not delete records held by RevenueCat needed for subscription verification, fraud prevention, auditing, or compliance.
  • 9) Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    10) Age restriction

The App is intended for individuals 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly handle personal information from anyone under 21.

    11) Your choices

    • Stop using the App: you can stop using the App at any time.
    • Delete your account (in-app): the App includes an option in Settings to delete your account. When you use it, your account is removed from Firebase Authentication (which may include your email used for sign-in and your Firebase UID). After deletion, you may lose access to account-linked features.
    • On-device logs: at this time, the App does not provide an in-app feature to delete individual entries. Removing the App may remove locally stored data depending on your device settings and backups.
    • Subscriptions: subscriptions are managed through iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting your account in the App does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription.
    • Questions: you can contact us anytime at weeditout.app@gmail.com.

    12) Future features

If we add features that collect additional information (for example, optional phone numbers for text notifications), we will update this policy and provide any required notices and choices before those features are enabled.

    13) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date and post the revised policy here.
